![]() Laughter therapy, it's a thing. While attending strategically lit banquets in your fancy pants can be lots of fun – I once won a very lovely tiffany lamp at the National Wild Turkey Federation fundraiser – we believe doing good should be a giggle-all-the-way extravaganza. Here’s why. Laughter keeps us healthy. Researchers at the Mayo Clinic have done their homework. Laughing is proven to lower blood pressure, reduce stress hormone levels, and boots t-cells. That means less risk of stroke and a stronger immune system. What’s more, laughter improves blood flow and fights against memory loss later in life. Laughter brings us closer together.
While the mid-dinner party puff might not instantly win you friends, laughing about it just may. Laughter can instantly relieve the tension in a room and build an inviting, friendly environment. Laughter makes us look and feel better. Tighter abs, happy wrinkles (hey, they look fabulous), and natural painkillers? It’s no wonder people with a propensity for the chuckles have less chronic pain and a better overall outlook on life. Why did the chicken cross the road? Because she was on her way to a fundraiser, of course. Participant in one of our upcoming events and follow us on Facebook to have a laugh. Comments are closed.
